Faithful Breath was a German rock band that underwent significant stylistic changes throughout its career. Initially formed in 1967, the group started with a progressive rock sound, which is showcased in their 1974 album "Fading Beauty." As the years progressed, they shifted towards a heavier hard rock and metal style. By the time they released "Back on My Hill" in 1980, their sound had evolved but still contained elements of their progressive roots. The transformation continued, and by the mid-1980s, with albums like "Gold'n'Glory" released in 1984, Faithful Breath had fully embraced a more commercial heavy metal sound. This period marked their most successful phase, as they gained a larger following within the heavy metal community. Despite these changes and some success within their genre, Faithful Breath never achieved widespread international fame and eventually disbanded.
