Elizabeth Parker

Elizabeth Parker

Emerging Indie Folk Songstress

Elizabeth Parker is a British composer known for her work in electronic music and her contributions to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, an innovative sound effects unit that was responsible for creating many of the soundscapes and music for BBC television and radio from the late 1950s to the 1990s. During her time with the Radiophonic Workshop, which began in 1978, Parker worked on a variety of projects, including contributions to the iconic science fiction series "Doctor Who." Her work is characterized by its experimental nature, often employing early electronic instruments and techniques to create unique auditory experiences. Parker's compositions extend beyond television scores, encompassing a range of musical styles and formats. However, specific albums released under her name may not be as widely recognized as her contributions to television and radio productions.
