East India Youth is the stage name of William Doyle, an English musician and writer who began his career as the frontman of the indie band Doyle & The Fourfathers before embarking on a solo career. His work as East India Youth spans various genres, including electronic, ambient, and experimental pop. Doyle released his debut album "Total Strife Forever" in 2014, which garnered critical acclaim and was nominated for the Mercury Prize that year. He followed up with his second album "Culture of Volume" in 2015, which further established his reputation for crafting sonically rich and emotionally resonant music. Both albums showcase Doyle's ability to blend intricate electronic soundscapes with melodic pop sensibilities.
