Dying Eden

Emerging Alternative Rock Group

Dying Eden was formed in 2012, initially as a studio project by Markus Wechselberger (Drums), Markus Oberwalder (Guitars) and Marcus Erler (Vocals/Guitars). They recorded a few cover songs, made some music videos before they decided to create own songs and hired Lord Alfred Wilhelm Fankhauser (Vocals) in 2015. With this lineup secured, their debut album titled „Omen“ was written in 2016, and with a little help from Tom Buchberger (Ex-Serenity), released in April 2017. The bands lineup was completed in 2018, when Florian Steiner (Bass) joined, and Dying Eden was ready to hit the stages all over Austria. A few months later, they played their first shows at Innrock Festival in Kramsach, Komma Wörgl (as support for Eluveitie) and numerous gigs on the Planet Festival Tour 2019, where they made it to the final show at the famous Gasometer in Vienna. 2020 marks the start of the recording of the second album, “Perish to Exist“. The album features 13 tracks, including a remastered version of „Empty Soul“ from their debut album, as well as the bands first ever song in german, titled „Nur ein Gedicht“. “Perish To Exist” is out since March, 19th 2021 DYING EDEN Vocals – Lord Alfred Wilhelm Fankhauser Guitars & Vocals – Marcus Erler Guitars – Markus Oberwalder Drums – Markus Wechselberger Bass – Florian Steiner
