Dmitry Sitkovetsky is a renowned Russian violinist, conductor, and arranger, born on September 27, 1954, in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR. He has established a significant international career since his Western debut in the 1970s. Sitkovetsky's talent was recognized early on; he studied at the Moscow Conservatory and later at the Juilliard School in New York. His versatility as an artist is evident through his performances as a soloist with major orchestras, his leadership as a conductor, and his innovative transcriptions, such as the well-known arrangement of Bach's Goldberg Variations for string trio.
