Influential American grindcore trio

Discordance Axis was an influential American grindcore band that was active primarily from 1992 to 2001. The band consisted of vocalist Jon Chang, guitarist Rob Marton, and drummer Dave Witte. They were known for their intense, fast-paced music and complex lyrics, often dealing with social, political, and personal themes. Discordance Axis released several albums and EPs during their career, with their final album "The Inalienable Dreamless" being released in 2000. This album is often cited as a high point in the genre for its technical proficiency and extreme style. Despite their relatively short tenure as a band, Discordance Axis left a lasting impact on the grindcore scene and influenced many bands that followed. After disbanding, members went on to participate in other musical projects, further contributing to the extreme music genre.
