Destination

Destination was a disco studio group from New York City. They achieved a measure of fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The group consisted of three members: Danny Lugo, Kathleen Bradley, and Lovechyle Theus. They are best known for their hit single "Move On Up"/"Up Up Up"/"Destination's Theme," which was a medley of Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up" and their own compositions. The single reached number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in 1979. Destination worked under the production of Elton Ahi, a music producer who was active during the disco era. Their sound was characterized by a blend of soulful vocals, lush instrumentals, and the danceable rhythms that were typical of the disco genre at the time.
