Depressive Age was a German metal band that emerged in the early 1990s. The band was known for its unique blend of thrash metal with progressive and alternative influences, which set them apart from many of their contemporaries. They released their debut album "First Depression" in 1992, which showcased their innovative approach to metal music. This was followed by "Lying in Wait" in 1993, further cementing their reputation for complex compositions and thought-provoking lyrics. Their third album, "Symbols for the Blue Times," arrived in 1994 and continued to build on their distinctive sound. Despite critical acclaim within the metal community, Depressive Age never achieved widespread commercial success. The band underwent several lineup changes throughout their career and eventually changed their name to D-Age before disbanding.
