Curse of Lono is a London-based band that blends Americana with gothic rock influences. Formed in 2015 by lead vocalist and guitarist Felix Bechtolsheimer following the breakup of his previous band, Hey Negrita, Curse of Lono quickly established themselves within the UK's alternative music scene. The band's name is inspired by the book "The Curse of Lono" by Hunter S. Thompson. They released their debut EP in 2016, followed by their first full-length album "Severed" in 2017, which was met with critical acclaim for its cinematic storytelling and atmospheric soundscapes.
