Cos

Cos

Cos is a Belgian avant-garde rock band that was formed in the early 1970s. The group is known for its unique blend of progressive rock, jazz, and electronic elements, which has been described as "jazz-rock" or "Canterbury-influenced." The band was led by vocalist Pascale Son, who was known for her distinctive voice and vocal techniques. Throughout their career, Cos released several albums that showcased their experimental approach to music. Their debut album, "Postaeolian Train Robbery," came out in 1974 and set the tone for their innovative style. They followed up with albums like "Viva Boma" in 1976 and "Babel" in 1978, further establishing their reputation within the progressive music scene. Despite not achieving mainstream success, Cos has been appreciated by connoisseurs of avant-garde and progressive music for their complex compositions and artistic ambition.
