Christopher Cross is an American singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas, who rose to fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He is best known for his hit song "Sailing," which won multiple Grammy Awards in 1981, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s). Cross's eponymous debut album, released in 1979, garnered five Grammy Awards and was a critical and commercial success.
