Ceremony is an American punk rock band that formed in Rohnert Park, California, in 2005. Initially known for their intense and relentless style characteristic of hardcore punk, the band's sound has evolved significantly over the course of their career. They started with a more traditional hardcore sound on their early releases, but with each subsequent album, they have incorporated elements of post-punk, power pop, and alternative rock. This stylistic evolution is evident in albums such as "Zoo" (2012), which showcased a more garage punk and post-punk influenced sound, "The L-Shaped Man" (2015), which delved deeper into post-punk aesthetics, and "In The Spirit World Now" (2019), which continued to expand their sonic palette with new wave influences.
