Carbonized

Carbonized was a Swedish avant-garde metal band formed in 1989. The group was known for its experimental approach to death metal, incorporating diverse musical influences that ranged from jazz to progressive rock. The band's lineup included notable musicians such as Lars Rosenberg, who later played with Entombed, and Piotr Wawrzeniuk, who worked with Therion. Carbonized released their debut album "For the Security" in 1991, which showcased their unconventional style within the extreme metal scene. Despite never achieving mainstream success, Carbonized gained a cult following for their innovative sound and complex compositions. The band went on to release a couple more albums before eventually disbanding. Their work is often cited as influential in the development of progressive and avant-garde metal subgenres.
