Finnish Chamber Choir

Candomino is an youth mixed choir founded in 1967 in Espoo, one of Finland's best-known choirs. In 1980, Candomino won first prize at the BBC’s 'Let the Peoples Sing' Choir Competition. In the summer of 2010, the choir participated in the 'Festival Choral International de Neuchâtel Choir Competition' in Switzerland. The choir took second place in the mixed choir series and also won the award: "Performer of the Best Spiritual Work". Candomino was founded by Tauno Satomaa (b. 1936), who served as choir director for 38 years until 2005. The choir is currently conducted by Esko Kallio (b. 1974).
