Indie Folk Singer-Songwriter

Burd Early is a singer/songwriter solo effort of James Angelos. His previous project was called Redemption Farm and self-released one CDr called "Worms Without End" in 1999. His first official release as Burd Early appeared in 2001 on a limited edition 7" in the Redwood Records 7" series. After three albums on Western Vinyl and an EP on King Crab Records his last release was a CD-EP on Acuarela Discos in 2005. After that, he changed styles and name to Et Ret. Now a journalist based in Berlin. His work has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and Foreign Policy, among other publications. Prior to reporting from Europe, he wrote for the New York Times City section. Also wrote "The Full Catastrophe: Travels Among the New Greek Ruins", first published in the summer of 2015 by Crown.
