Bill Wyman is an English musician, record producer, songwriter, and singer, best known as the bass guitarist for the Rolling Stones from 1962 until his departure in 1993. Born William George Perks Jr. on October 24, 1936, in Lewisham, London, he was an essential part of the band's classic lineup that helped define rock music. After leaving the Rolling Stones, Wyman continued to pursue music through solo projects and with his own band, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. His solo career includes several albums, with "Monkey Grip" released in 1974 being his debut solo album. Wyman has also been involved in other ventures such as writing books, running a restaurant, and engaging in photography. His contributions to music have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades throughout his career.
