Hungarian Clarinet Virtuoso

Béla Kovács is a Hungarian clarinetist and composer, renowned for his contributions to both classical and klezmer music. Born on May 17, 1937, in Budapest, Kovács attended the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where he later became a professor of clarinet. His career as a performer has been marked by his long-standing position as the principal clarinetist of the Hungarian State Opera House and his work with the Budapest Clarinet Quintet.
