German musician and drummer from punk band Die Ärzte

Bela B. is a renowned German musician, singer, songwriter, and actor, best known as the drummer and one of the singers of the influential punk band Die Ärzte. Born Dirk Felsenheimer on December 14, 1962, in the Spandau borough of Berlin, he adopted the stage name Bela B. in homage to the actor Bela Lugosi. Beyond his work with Die Ärzte, which was formed in 1982 and became one of the most successful punk bands in Germany, Bela B. has also pursued a solo career.
