Japanese Progressive Metal Band

Azusa is a multinational metal band known for their eclectic blend of progressive metal, hardcore, and thrash elements. The band features members from various countries and notable bands within the metal community. The lineup includes Eleni Zafiriadou of Sea + Air on vocals, Liam Wilson formerly of The Dillinger Escape Plan on bass, Christer Espevoll and David Husvik from the Norwegian progressive metal band Extol on guitar and drums respectively. Azusa made their debut with the album "Heavy Yoke" in 2018, which was followed by "Loop Of Yesterdays" in 2020. Their music is characterized by its technical proficiency, complex arrangements, and a seamless fusion of disparate genres, which has garnered them attention within the progressive and avant-garde metal scenes.
