Atoms For Peace

Experimental Supergroup

Atoms For Peace is an experimental rock and electronic supergroup formed in 2009. The band consists of Radiohead's lead singer Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano), Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (production and programming), Joey Waronker of Beck and R.E.M. (drums), and Brazilian instrumentalist Mauro Refosco (percussion). The group came together initially to perform songs from Thom Yorke's solo album "The Eraser" during live shows. Their name, Atoms For Peace, was taken from a song on that album, as well as a 1953 speech by American President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
