Ashton Irwin is an Australian musician and drummer, best known as a member of the pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS). Born on July 7, 1994, in Hornsby, Australia, Irwin joined the band in December 2011, completing the lineup that gained fame through YouTube covers and later on through touring and the release of their original music. With 5SOS, Irwin has released multiple albums that have achieved international success, featuring hits like "She Looks So Perfect" and "Youngblood." The band's style has evolved over the years from pop-punk to a more pop-rock sound with elements of new wave and synth-pop.
