1950s American Singer and Composer

Born: July 7, 1922, New York City, New York, USA Died:June 16, 2006, Los Angeles, California, USA A composer and vocalist who was the baritone member of The Crew Chiefs, and he also sang with Glenn Miller's band. Malvin's compositions include "I'm Headin' For California", "Join the W.A.C.", "Time in the Town of Berlin", "Flying Home", "Glenn's Travels", "Goodnight Wherever You Are", "Time Alone Will Tell", and "Let Me Be Your Sugar Baby". After World War II and Glenn Miller's death, Malvin became heavily immersed in the popular music of the 1940's and 1950's, being involved in everything from children's music, to the beginnings of rock and roll, to jingles for commercials.
