Anorexia Nervosa is a French symphonic black metal band that was formed in 1995. The band is known for its intense blend of classical music influences with the aggressive sounds of black metal. They have gained recognition in the metal community for their theatrical and orchestral approach to the genre. Over the course of their career, Anorexia Nervosa released several albums, including "Drudenhaus" in 2000, "New Obscurantis Order" in 2001, and "Redemption Process" in 2004. These albums are often noted for their complex compositions and elaborate arrangements, as well as the use of keyboards to add a symphonic element to their sound. The band went on hiatus in 2005, and while they have not released new material since then, their existing work continues to be influential within the symphonic black metal scene.
