Born on May 7, 1962, in Stuttgart, he began playing the violin at the age of five and later studied at the music conservatories in Stuttgart and Cologne. Breuninger has won several prestigious awards, including the Paganini Competition in Genoa and the German Music Competition. As a soloist, he has performed with numerous orchestras worldwide under the baton of renowned conductors. His discography includes a variety of works ranging from classical to contemporary composers, showcasing his versatility as an artist. In addition to performing, Breuninger is also dedicated to teaching, holding a professorship at the Karlsruhe University of Music. His contributions to classical music extend beyond performance to include scholarly work and the promotion of lesser-known compositions within the violin repertoire.
