Adolf Busch

German Classical Violinist and Composer

Adolf Busch (1891–1952) was a renowned German violinist, composer, and conductor who left a significant mark on the classical music world. He was particularly known for his chamber music performances and for founding the Busch Quartet, which gained international acclaim for its interpretations of the classical repertoire, especially works by Beethoven and Brahms. Busch was also a close collaborator with the pianist Rudolf Serkin, and together they formed a celebrated duo that performed extensively throughout Europe and North America. Their partnership resulted in numerous recordings that are still highly regarded today.
