Abscess

Abscess was an American death metal band formed in 1994 by members of the influential death metal band Autopsy after their initial breakup. The band was known for its blend of punk and metal influences, creating a raw and filthy sound that stood out in the metal scene. Abscess's lineup included Chris Reifert on drums and vocals, who was also known for his work with Autopsy, as well as guitarist Danny Coralles, another Autopsy member. Throughout their career, Abscess released several albums that showcased their gritty style, including "Through The Cracks Of Death" (2002), "Damned And Mummified" (2004), and "Horrorhammer" (2007). The band maintained a cult following within the underground metal community until their disbandment in 2010 when Autopsy was reformed.
