16 Volt is an American industrial rock band formed by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Eric Powell in 1988. The band is known for its fusion of aggressive industrial sound with elements of electronic and rock music. Over the years, 16 Volt has released several albums that have contributed to the industrial rock and industrial metal scenes. Their debut album, "Wisdom," was released in 1993 and helped establish their presence in the genre. They followed up with a series of albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including "SuperCoolNothing" in 1998, which showcased a more refined sound and incorporated elements of nu-metal.
