Italian singer-songwriter Zucchero has announced the release of a new studio album. The twelfth piece in his discography will be released at the end of April under the title Black Cat and promises a return to his musical roots...

Zucchero is one of the most successful Italian performers in all of music history. The 60-year-old musician has sold over 50 million records to date and has a string of huge hits to his credit. Just mention the duet Senza Una Donna (Without A Woman) with Paul Young, the hit Baila (Sexy Thing) or the beautiful song Miserere, which he recorded with Luciano Pavarotti. He will try to build on these successes with his new album...

According to the artist, Black Cat is a return to his musical roots, to soul and blues, which have accompanied the singer since his musical beginnings in the first half of the eighties. His new album Black Cat brings thirteen original songs, accompanied by a great production and several star guests from the music industry...

The production of the album was handled by three industry matadors - T-Bone Burnett (known for producing albums by Elvis Costello, Elton John and Tony Bennett), Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan) and Don Was (Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Bob Dylan). Guests include U2's Bono, who wrote the lyrics to Streets Of Surrender (S.O.S.) with Zuccher shortly after last year's tragedy at the Bataclan club in Paris. This song also features another guest, the legendary Mark Knopfler on guitar (and also on the song Ci Si Arrende)...

The list of information already clearly confirms that the Black Cat album will be one of the musical gems of this year. Moreover, Zucchero will also go on tour with the new album, which will not leave out the Czech Republic. After five years, Zucchero will perform their new repertoire and the greatest hits of their career on 12 October at the Forum Karlín in Prague...
