Ondřej Ladek, singer-songwriter, better known under his pseudonym Xindl X, releases a new album. It is called Therapy and brings a colourful range of songs. It is the most personal and open, almost confessional album that Xindl X will christen and present to his fans at his biggest concert to date on November 25, 2021 at Prague's O2 Universe!

"I wrote all the songs for the record during the lockdown, in the first wave of the cover. The songwriting and lyrics were the only thing that helped me keep faith that the world is still normal. That we weren't living through the end of the world. Always getting up in the morning, picking up a guitar and starting to compose was therapy for me to keep me from going crazy," explains the title of Xindl X's new release.

Along with the album, which contains 11 tracks, a new video for the single "Hunter of Pearls", which Ondřej Ládek wrote for his wife, is also released.

"Musically, I wanted the album to be very colourful. I wanted to have folk songs with a touch of country and Americana, as well as modern pop songs that are not afraid of electronics. And even delicately mix these influences within the individual songs. I believe it worked. I'm happy that the record has both the almost campfire "My Cottage, My Castle" and the downright electronic "Neons," and the other songs oscillate between these poles." The singer himself characterizes Terapia.

The new album is indeed the most genre-diverse of Xindel X's work to date. It features brand new, but also previously released singles such as "Sebelovesong", "Something is in the Air" and "My Cottage, My Castle", which have already been included in the concert setlists during the summer festival season. The song "Má chata, můj hrad" also accompanies the new comedy series "Osada" by the respected creators P. Koleček and R. Bajgar, which is on Czech TV from 3 September.

"The desire for variety was one of the reasons why I worked with two producers on the album. On the one hand, with Dalík Cidlinský, who has been present at the creation of most of my previous records, so he often knows my ideas about the direction of a song before I tell him, and on the other hand with Honza Steinsdorfer, with whom I have never worked before, so we could try together to grasp my songs in a completely different way than I have tried before. The guitarist Pepa Štěpánek is also an essential person on the record, and I always knew he could play great folk and country as well as modern pop. And that's why he brings the worlds of both producers together with his guitar parts." adds Ládek.

On November 25th this year, the singer will perform a number of new and well-known songs arranged with the sixty-member Maranatha Gospel Choir, many interesting guests will perform and the show will also get an unusual visual appearance, which is the responsibility of the artist and director Ondřej Pfeiffer, the author of all the animated clips of Xindla X. "I believe it will be a unique and unrepeatable experience," concludes Ondřej Ládek.

The concert at the O2 Universum was supposed to take place on 30 January 2021, but due to the prolonged coronavirus pandemic it was postponed to 25 November 2021.
