Their debut eponymous album Wishbone Ash was released in 1970 on the recommendation of Ritchie Blackmore, whose band Deep Purple they were supporting. New England is their first American album after they left England for tax reasons and moved to the Northeastern U.S. (New England). "New England" is one of their most popular albums.
