The move from England to the US also changed their previous British (progressive) rock sound to a more American style. The album has a different feel compared to their British albums, which fans in 1976 didn't understand. When the album was first released on CD in 1995, it was received much more warmly and "Locked In" is now considered Wishbone Ash's prized album.
