No other artist, apart from Bob Marley of course, has contributed as much to the worldwide popularisation of reggae music as UB 40, a band from Birmingham, England, comprising a total of 8 members of dark and white skin. Especially when the band, equipped with a brass section and great at grooving in a slow off-beat, reaching deep into music history and covering legendary hits, was always assured of topping the charts. Examples such as Neil Diamond's "Red Red Wine", Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe" or Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" and of course the best original tracks can be found in abundance on the two separately available compilations "The Best Of - Volumes 1 & 2" (first released in 1990 and 1995).
