"Metal Meltdown" is the apt title of their new 2016 live album, the start of a series of live recordings. The extensive CD, DVD and Blu-ray set includes footage of their May 30, 2015 performance at The Joint at the famed Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas. In addition to Daniel "Dee" Snider (vocals), John "Jay Jay" French (guitar), Eddie "Fingers" Ojeda (guitar) and Mark "The Animal" Mendoza (bass), drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold) joined the band shortly before. He replaced AJ Pera, who died suddenly in 2015. The explosive live show, which was recorded with 24 HD cameras for "Metal Meltdown", lasted an incredible 90 minutes. The concert film shows Twisted Sister in top form as they played some of their biggest hits that night, including "We're Not Gonna Take It", "I Wanna Rock", "The Kids Are Back" and "Come Out And Play". In addition to the live performance, the DVD and Blu-ray also includes the documentary "Rockshow" - a look at the band's history with exclusive interviews and plenty of archival footage. Twisted Sister still have a lot to offer on stage. In 2016, they prove it with an impressive live performance. And the best part at the end: 'Metal Meltdown' is just the beginning.
