The Residents je americká avantgardní kapela ze San Francisca, která vznikla v roce 1969. První koncert odehráli v roce 1971 a v roce 1972 založili vlastní nahrávací společnost Ralph Records.

Poznávacím znamením kapely jsou její svérázné skladby a bizarní interpretace coververzí, stejně jako desetiletí trvající anonymita členů. "Gingerbread Man" vyšel v roce 1994 a tato 3CD edice původního alba obsahuje také 33 (!) dříve nevydaných skladeb, včetně kazety "Fat Boy" z roku 1994, živých nahrávek a naprosto raritního soundtrackového alba "Hunters" z roku 1995! Remasterováno z původních kazet. Navíc skvělý booklet se vzácným nebo dříve neznámým fotografickým materiálem.
