1969's The Band is one of the most influential albums of all time. The album was recorded in Woodstock, New York and features songs written by Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko, Richard Manuel and Garth Hudson. The album is a blend of rock, blues, country and folk music and cited many artists as influences, including the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. The Band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
