Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (další jméno z minulosti, projekt z roku 1988, který byl přerušen ve prospěch soundtracku k filmu Batman) je popově orientované album major labelu, na kterém se objevilo překvapivé množství hostujících umělců (Chuck D z Public Enemy, Eve, Gwen Stefani z No Doubt, Sheryl Crow) a spoustou skladeb vhodných pro rádia ("The Greatest Romance Ever Sold", "So Far", "So Pleased", "Hot Wit U", coververze Crowovy "Everyday Is a Winding Road").

Hvězdně obsazené album Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic bylo prvním a jediným albem, které Prince vydal u major labelu Arista Records, a posledním albem dosud nevydaného materiálu, který si připsal pod svůj nevyslovitelný symbol.
