Since their formation 25 years ago in the Finnish capital, The 69 Eyes boast ten studio albums and numerous live, best-of and remastered recordings. When they released their tenth and still-current album "X" in 2012, singer and frontman Jyrki69 noticed the band's resemblance to a certain masked superhero: "I just saw the movie 'The Dark Knight Rises' and realized that The 69 Eyes are like Batman: We keep popping up and down - our only job is to serve Gotham City and its inhabitants. Everyone else is long gone, no one can do the job better, and someone has to do it. So put on your sunglasses and let's do it: the Helsinki Vampires are back!" With such a legacy, The 69 Eyes have always managed to endure as a band, constantly reinventing their own version of goth'n'roll. Since 1992, when Jussi69 replaced the original drummer Lotto, the band's line-up has also remained the same. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the five-piece released some of their most important albums: 'Wasting The Dawn' (1999), 'Blessed Be' (2000) and 'Paris Kills' (2002). Anno 2015, The 69 Eyes now announce "The Best Of Helsinki Vampires", a best of collection that spans a quarter century of the band's history. From the glory of the early days with "Wrap Up You Troubles In Dreams" (1997) to the hype of the later years with albums like "Devils" (2004) and "Back In Blood" (2009), "The Best Of Helsinki Vampires" features 28 tracks and will be released on April 10, 2015 via Nuclear Blast. In addition, The 69 Eyes will release the three albums "Devils" (2004), "Angels" (2007) as well as "Paris Kills" (2002) as a special edition. Each reissue will include three bonus tracks in addition to the original songs and will also be released on April 10, 2015. The special edition of "Paris Kills" will include the tracks "You're Lost Little Girl", "Crashing High" (remix) and "Stigmata" (gothic remix). The "Angels" reissue has been expanded to include "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" (2007), "Only Fools Don't Fall Once More" and "Never Say Die" (mix of singles), while "Devils" includes bonus material "From Dusk Till Dawn", "Pitchblack" and "Feel Berlin" (edit of singles).
