Released in 2010, Speak Now is Taylor Swift's third studio album. The album was a commercial success, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and selling over 1.5 million copies in its first week. Four singles were released from the album, all of which reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. The album was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Critics have praised Speak Now for its songwriting and production qualities, and many have called it Swift's best album to date. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album and was nominated for Album of the Year. It was included on several lists of the best albums of 2010. Speak Now is a country and pop album with elements of rock and folk. The album's lyrics are written from the perspective of various characters and tell stories of love and heartbreak.
