The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads is the debut album by Talking Heads , released in September 1982. The album was recorded over two weeks at Compass Point Studios in the Bahamas. It charted at number 22 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album spawned four singles, "Psycho Killer", "Life During Wartime", "Once in a Lifetime" and "Burning Down the House".
