Osmadvacetiletá zpěvačka na albu pracovala téměř tři roky. Podpořilo ji několik známých producentů včetně Anthonyho "Top Dawg" Tiffitha, Terrence "Punch" Hendersona a Davea "Miyatola" Freeho.

Na "Ctrl" čeká celkem 14 písní. Mezi zveřejněnými singly jsou například "Drew Barrymore", "Love Galore", "The Weekend" a "Broken Clocks".
