Orchestral spectacular Britpop pioneers Suede release their new eighth studio album in 2018. 'The Blue Hour' is the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2016's 'Night Thoughts', with which they reached number six in the UK charts. Brett Anderson (vocals), Mat Osman (bass), Simon Gilbert (drums), Richard Oakes (guitar) and Neil Codling (synth, keys, piano) recorded 14 songs for this album at Assault & Battery studios in London. They were significantly supported by the famous Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and partly by a choir. The production and mixing was done by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age). All the songs on "The Blue Hour" are interconnected and form a great whole. Of special note is the song "The Invisibles" by Scottish composer Craig Armstrong, who collaborated with the band in 1996 on the album "Coming Up". In addition to the standard CD and double LP, "The Blue Hour" is also available in a deluxe box set. It contains three LPs, a DVD and a CD. A brilliant orchestral move: 'The Blue Hour' shows once again that Suede is experimental and innovative.
