"Live Alive", originally released in 1986, is a landmark album of the blues genre compiled from four live concerts by STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN and DOUBLE TROUBLE. The concerts were recorded in 1985 at the Montreux Jazz Festival (July 16), the Austin Opera House (July 17 and 18) and Dallas Starfest (July 19). This great live album is filled with song gems from STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN's first three albums, joined by a terrific version of "Willie The Wimp" featuring his brother Jimmy (who also appears on "Love Struck Baby," "Look At Little Sister" and "Change It"). The track list reveals some of VAUGHAN's biggest influences: the JIMI HENDRIX "(Voodoo Child (Slight Return)"), STEVIE WONDER ("Superstition"), HOWLIN' WOLF ("Commit A Crime") and BUDDY GUY.
