In the spring of this year, Soundgarden announced their return after a hiatus of more than twelve years. Fans will find their first collaborative release in over thirteen years on "Telephantasm". It is a retrospective look at the body of work to date of this unique band, which has been known for such legendary hits as "Black Hole Sun", "Hands All Over" and "Blow Up The Outside World". These will be joined by the brand new song "Black Rain". The "Telephantasm" compilation album will be released in several different formats, which will also bring a huge amount of additional, previously unreleased material.Those who get the album in 2CD+DVD format will get, in addition to the aforementioned new track "Black Rain", four other tracks that are being released on CD for the very first time. In addition, the 2-disc version of the selection will include rare live recordings or lesser-known songs. The included DVD will be packed with all the music videos Soundgarden has ever made. This bonus will be especially welcomed by the most loyal fans, as a good half of the clips have never been released. In addition, some of the clips on the DVD appear in uncensored or alternate versions.The most discerning will be able to get "Telephantasm" in a special limited deluxe-version, which will include 2 CDs, a DVD, three vinyls, a colored vinyl, a book, a poster and photos, and other gifts, all of which will be hidden in a deluxe box.Recall that Soundgarden is one of the great pioneers of the grunge style and even after all these years they are still considered one of the most important rock bands of the 90s.
