In 2002, Stewart released a collection of jazz standards called It Had To Be You - The Great American Songbook. Following the success of this album and several platinum awards, he released four more albums of this material; in total, the extremely popular and successful "Great American Songbook" albums have sold more than 17 million copies worldwide. With his unmistakable voice, he interprets the great song classics of American history, especially from the 1930s and 1940s, in a way that gives you goosebumps. These include fantastic new interpretations of songs by the likes of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, and George and Ira Gershwin.
