As on Plant's first solo album, Pictures at Eleven, the songs were a distinct departure from the hard rock sound of Led Zeppelin. With this album, Plant scored a big hit with Big Log, which he promoted with a music video for the now indispensable MTV television show. He even appeared with the song on Top of the Pops, the biggest of Led Zeppelin's failures.
