The trio Infernale of RAGE has been active for over 28 years and regularly reinvents itself with its mix of heavy metal, progressive and classical elements, and strong thrash passages. With the new LPm "21", however, RAGE is coming to an end. Their 21st (!!!) studio album is the hardest, fastest and therefore loudest LPm album of their career. The sixty-minute opus, recorded at "Twilight Hall Studios" in Krefeld / Grefrath, was co-produced by Charlie Bauerfeind (HammerFall, Helloween and many others) and guitarist Victor Smolski and represents a real highlight in the history of this exceptional band. With the exception of two lyrics, the songs deal exclusively with suicide, mass murder, serial killers and murder in general. "21" is simply a record, and a damn good one at that! With the release of their debut album "Prayers Of Steel" in 1984, the band was born. In the years that followed, RAGE toured Europe relentlessly, releasing more albums at regular intervals and gaining a large fan base. RAGE's international breakthrough came in 1992 with the album "Trapped". With "Lingua Mortis", RAGE brought the first classic album by a German metal band in 1996, which was also presented live together with an orchestra on a very successful festival tour. Another important milestone in RAGE's history is the 1999 album "Ghosts", which celebrated the debut of guitarist and multi-talented Victor Smolski, and since then, together with veteran Peavy Wagner, he has been the musical head of today's band. An unexpected success was the song "Straight To Hell", which Victor Smolski composed for the RAGE album "Welcome To The Other Side", which served as the soundtrack for the most successful German film production "Der Schuh des Manitu" in 2008. On the occasion of the band's 25th anniversary in 2009, the boys placed 3rd in the Bundesvision Song Contest with the German-language song "Gib Dich Nie Auf" ("Never Give Up") from the EP of the same name. With this success behind them, RAGE released the album "Strings To A Web" in 2010, which confirmed the status of this special and unique trio. The band presented their new album at numerous concerts in Europe, Russia and Japan. The highlight was certainly the unique headlining performance at the sold-out "Rock Hard Festival" at the Gelsenkirchen Amphitheater together with the Lingua Mortis Orchestra.
