Když v roce 2000 vyšlo jako poslední album u legendárního vydavatelství Creation Records Alana McGeeho album "Exterminator" (XTRMNTR) skupiny Primal Scream, vzbudilo značný rozruch. McGee musel The Scream říct, aby nechali label "odejít s velkou pompou", a chlapci to splnili.

"Exterminator" je anarchismus s punkovou příchutí smíchaný s bigbítovým rachotem, zvukový protest proti samolibé a nevyzývavé indie-music té doby. Nebo, jak napsal NME: "málokdy byl hněv tak krásně zvládnutý", protože ho zařadili na druhé místo nejlepších alb roku 2000 (prohrál jen s Kid A od Radiohead).

S "Exterminator" The Scream vyprodukovali válku, na kterou se dá tančit, a dokázali tak, že předběhli svou dobu. Poprvé od původního vydání opět k dispozici na 180gramovém audiofilním vinylu!
