Live At Rockpalast offers fans and musicians alike the chance to refresh their memories. "We didn't miss a single party during this phase. Although it may sound like a cliché, my memory of the 90s still suffers from it today," smiles singer Nick Holmes. "We were young, our fans were young. Everything was much more energetic." With their legendary performance, Holmes, guitarist Mackintosh, rhythm guitarist Aaron Aedy, bassist Steve Edmondson and drummer Lee Morris silenced even those skeptics who previously doubted their position as headliners at a crossover festival that boasted a strong lineup with bands like Monster Magnet, NOFX, Kyuss, Spermbirds and Clawfinger. Not least because of the immense joy of playing Paradise Lost, whose line-up - with the exception of various drummer changes - has remained stable until 2019. "In the context of our music, this may sound ironic. But I think the strongest bond in any relationship is the ability to laugh together at the same things. We've always done that and it's never going to change," Nick Holmes explains of their consistency. "Plus, we still make music today with unbridled passion, we still take it as seriously and we still enjoy it as much as we ever did." This Rockpalast from the 1995 Bizarre Festival is thus an almost timeless document.
