Pantera made no secret of the fact that it was one of its most intense and heavy albums on The Great Southern Trendkill - and that's saying something. Released in 1996, the album reached #4 on the US Billboard Top 200 (D: #29) and went platinum as their fourth album in a row. 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of this landmark title and to mark the occasion, Rhino is releasing a 20th anniversary edition of The Great Southern Trendkill. The double album features the remastered original album and a dozen previously unreleased mixes, instrumental versions and live recordings. The set also includes a collection of rare period photographs and new sleeve notes by renowned rock critic and radio producer Katherine Turman that tell the story of the album and its impact.
