New Order: Get Ready version on vinyl LP in Remastered edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Vinyl Collector on 25. September 2015.
Leaving aside the unrestricted suitability for the dancefloor, New Order, with the full backing of the Joy Division cult, are proof that the synthesizer and the electric guitar, or the flashy bass, are not natural opposites. On the contrary: in the sum of all elements, they don't add electronic tricks to homemade drum-bass-electric-guitar music, but blend electro into a perfect symbiosis without losing the straightforwardness. When you listen to "Crystal", you'll instantly fall in love with it. And then something happens that is really rare with albums. You listen to the second and third song... and it just keeps getting better and better! No tepid filler breaks. New Order manages something that's really difficult. Crystal set the bar very high at the beginning of the album and raise it even higher as the album progresses. Beautiful. And the duet with Billy Corgan is one of the most beautiful songs on this album.
